Here are Jayne's thoughts (from the liner notes):
For my Mom - This collection of songs was put together specifically as a tribute to you. For without the presence of your music in my childhood, there would not have been any sentimental journey to take. Until we began this project, I had no idea how connected these songs were to my soul. Vocally it was as if I had "come home" for the first time. All of the years that you sang to me have come full circle and now I sing them back to you. Thank you, Mom, for the gift of music which has seen me through a lifetime! I love you dearly!
To Cheyla and Chelsea - We are three women who stand at three completely different crossroads of our lives. I am not sure why conflicts should surprise us. Regardless of where we stand in each of our lives, always hold tight to the fact that I carry a piece of each of you in my heart every day. There is not now, or will there ever be, condition to my love for both of you.
To my grandchildren, Gage and Odessa - Who knew you were to be two of my life's sweetest rewards. I could not love you more!
To my brother, John - because I remember the good times!
To my sisters who are still listening - I hope this sentimental journey brings you a sense of love and peace.
To Aunt Rita, Uncle Jim, and Uncle Tom - I hope that one of these melodies sparks a memory that brings a smile to your faces.
Finally, for my husband, William - When you gave birth to this idea year ago, I'm sure you knew how cathartic it would be to my soul. You held my hand, as always, as I chased the cobwebs from this rusty voice. You offered me, as always, unwavering love and support each time we worked on this project. In doing so, you have awakened an essential part of the person that I am which I had laid to rest some time ago. You are the love of my life and I want you to know that all my songs are for you! You have allowed me to see all my dreams come true.
